About

Darcy Hicks holding hello sign

Welcome!

I'm so glad you're here

I don't know about you, but life is hard these days, in more ways than I ever imagined.

But I want to be like the person in Jeremiah 17:7-8.

"The person who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence indeed is the LORD, is blessed. He will be like a tree planted by water, it sends its roots out toward a stream, it doesn't fear when heat comes, and its foliage remains green. It will not worry in year of drought or cease producing fruit."

Let's be people who unwaveringly trust in God and His Word, knowing that we can thrive regardless of our circumstances.

As a Christian communicator, my desire is to empower individuals to stand firm in their faith, anchored in the transformative power of God’s Word and His unfailing love. By sharing practical applications of biblical truths, I aim to bring hope and help others experience the life-changing power of God’s love.

Family

Terry and I have been married for 33 years—only by the Grace of God! It has not been easy, but we continue to say “I do” even on the hard days. That’s our story, our secret to marriage. Keep saying “I do” and remembering 1 Peter 5:8, “Love covers a multitude of sins.”

When we first got married, we weren’t sure we wanted kids. But God changed our hearts and gave us a good laugh by blessing us with four children. The oldest and youngest are 12 years apart – Sam, Hannah, Nate, and Daniel. It is nothing short of a miracle that God has allowed me to be their mom. They change me every day with their humor, kindness, and love. Sam recently married Abby, so we have add a beautiful daughter-in-love to our family! And we have one granddog, Uzi, who has a special place in our hearts!

My story is one of loving God, running from God, returning to God, finding myself in a pit—even as a Christian—and continually pursuing and experiencing healing in the many broken places of my heart. My family has seen me through it all and inspired me to be a better person, wife, and mom. I’m thankful God never gives up on us!
